VISUAL MERCHANDISING

Using different techniques to make a vision come to life and bring attraction to products.

Visual merchandising is exciting to me. I am able to envision an idea and work with it until it comes to life. I loved learning the different store layouts and different techniques to attract consumers to goods put on display.

Piet Mondrian

My first visual merchandising project was a class assignment. We were allowed to do anything we wanted, but we were required to have a cohesive theme. For my project, I worked with my group Kandis Hunter, Baylee Ferguson, Noah Compton, and Tinsley Osteen who were all Apparel Design and Merchandising students in my class. We thought of the idea to complete our visual merchandising project with the theme of the Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian.

Below is our completed exhibit. We used the red, yellow, and blue boxes inspired by Piet Mondrian's art. We crafted the background and styled the mannequins.

Lililu on King Boutique Window Display

I had the pleasure to complete a window display for a local boutique in Boone, NC. I created a display using new arrival pieces that were a transition from Winter to Spring.
